The Love I Seek

This is one of the last photos of my mother, Cathrine, and my father, Jose — an intimate moment, a quiet kiss, captured before my father passed away.

It was this photo that taught me what photography really means. How a single frame can hold a lifetime. And it’s also the photo that made me regret not taking more pictures of him when he was younger… moments now out of reach, memories I wish I could touch again.

I wish I had more images to look back on — not just to remember the man he was, but to understand the man I’m becoming.

“The Love I Seek”

I’ve given this photo the title “The Love I Seek.”

Because their love — simple, honest, lasting — is the kind of love I hope to find one day. A love I can grow old with. A love that stays pure until the very end.
